Continuing Construction Safety Week: Colorado Fall Protection Stand Down Sets the Standard

Safety Week in Colorado: Fall Protection, Team Engagement & a Culture of Safety

To kick things off, our Colorado team launched Safety Week with a powerful Stand Down focused on one of the most critical topics in construction: fall protection. From the start, the message was clear and non-negotiable—every worker goes home safe at the end of the day.

Leading the session, Marc Malezija, CPMR, CPSC delivered an engaging and practical discussion that, in turn, resonated across the crews. Not only did his leadership reinforce compliance, but it also strengthened overall commitment. As a result, safety was emphasized as more than just a checklist; rather, it was positioned as a shared responsibility across every job site in Colorado.

Adding a bit of personality to the day, the crews were joined by Chicken Nugget (“Nugget”), our unofficial yet dependable safety meeting regular. Nugget’s presence brought energy to the group and served as a lighthearted reminder that building a strong safety culture is also about connection, consistency, and showing up for one another.

Safety Week in Colorado is more than a series of meetings—it’s an opportunity to refocus, re-engage, and recommit to best practices in construction safety. From Denver to job sites across the state, our teams continue to lead with awareness, accountability, and teamwork.

We appreciate the Colorado team for their strong participation, attention, and dedication to keeping Safety Week impactful and moving forward.
