Construction Safety Week 2026: Nebraska Fall Prevention Stand-Down for Safety

Starting Strong: Safety as Our Foundation

There’s no better way to begin Construction Safety Week 2026 than by coming together as a team with a shared focus: keeping every crew member safe on the job. During this morning’s monthly safety meeting, our Nebraska team set the tone for the week by focusing on fall prevention in support of the National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction.

This important initiative encourages crews to pause, refocus, and have real conversations about the risks of working at heights. Falls remain one of the leading causes of injury in construction, making these discussions essential. By taking time to “stand down,” we reinforced a simple but critical message—safety is everyone’s responsibility. From proper harness use to identifying jobsite hazards, staying proactive helps ensure every team member goes home safe at the end of the day.

Hands-On Learning with Safewaze

We were also excited to welcome the Safewaze crew to our meeting, bringing valuable insight and expertise to the conversation. Their hands-on demonstration of updated fall protection practices gave our team a closer look at the latest equipment and techniques designed to keep workers safe at every height.

Experiences like this go beyond discussion—they build confidence, reinforce best practices, and strengthen our overall safety culture. As we continue through Construction Safety Week and beyond, we remain committed to making safety more than just a priority—it’s a core value in everything we do.
